Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guangdong Teachers Exchange Programme 2018

The “Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guangdong Teachers Exchange Programme 2018” took place from July 3rd to 28th, 2018, organized by SPICE. The summer exchange training program was held at St. Paul’s Convent School, where teachers from the three mainland provinces came in five batches to exchange and learn at our school. The first batch consisted of 30 political, history, and geography teachers from the Fifth Middle School of DeYang City, Sichuan Province. They participated in the humanities teacher training courses and values teaching seminars organized by the University of Hong Kong and St. Paul’s Convent School. During their free time, they visited famous attractions in Hong Kong, deepening their understanding of the local culture. Additionally, under the arrangement of the Education Bureau of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, 99 English teachers came to our school in two groups for learning and exchange. There were also 25 English teachers from Kunming City, Yunnan Province, and 10 English teachers from Foshan City, Guangdong Province, organized by the Hong Kong Wen Wei Po Management College, participating in this training program. Participants highly praised the training courses, as they not only improved their English proficiency but also gained more vivid and interesting teaching methods. We sincerely thank the two Canadian volunteer mentors who traveled a long way to Hong Kong to participate in this meaningful work. [Video sharing]
